The Risen is rebuilding to get back on the raiding scene. Our initial focus is for the 10 man instances and we'll consider venturing into the 25 man instances once all the 10 man instances have been conquered. Even though our current time-zone for events will be in the evening (Korea time), which will be in the morning for most US based players, this will not be a deterent for us. Eventually, our schedule will shift back toward US based evenings. Ideally, we would like to maintain a day and evening raid force when we do return to the US.

Congrats to everyone who ran The Obsidian tonight with us both from The Risen, and invited Friends!

We adapted fast and with a little co-ordination won against all of the drakes and the Main boss for the achievment. Good Work! We need more runs like this, so If you want something run, put it in the in-game calendar, or suggest it in chat.

Hey Risen Members

A few changes will be occuring behind the scences and in front in some cases.

First: The Website address has changed. We are now at http://www.TheRisenGuild.com please update your bookmarks accordingly.

Second: I will be setting up a permenant vent for our own use in the very near future, and more information will be posted as soon as it is available.

We will need to get our recruitment up, I would like to pose a general call out to everyone that if you know someone who you think would be a good fit for Risen, please let an officer know. In our next officers meeting we will probably be dicussing recruiting and coming up with a recruiting message to get out there.

If you are not a Risen Member, and would like to join a great casual/raid guild, please feel free to register, and request to join, an officer will review your application asap!

Great job to everyone who came along on our first 10M at-level dungeon, Naxxramas - Arachnid Quarter! It was one of the greatest accomplishments because most of us had NEVER attempted this dungeon before and this was our first real test of team cohesiveness. Our first encounter was ANUB-REKHAN, who roughed us up pretty badly and was considered our only real goal for the night. After eight tries we finally got him down...even though all of us went down with him. But what counted was the fact that our perseverance and sheer glee of being in our first full-fledged raid hammered that bug down and allowed us to move on!

Next we took on GRAND WIDOW FAERLINA, and within a couple of minutes we downed her without even breaking a sweat! MAEXXNA, however, was our final attempt as our enthusiasm never wavered but the fact that most of us had to go to work early the next morning forced us to throw in the towel after getting him down to 10% health after three tries. All in all it was a total success! We achieved more on our first try than we ever imagined!

NAXXRAMAS NEXT WEEK!
We've had SO many new members added to our ranks in the past month that we're already ready to rock out an attempt in Naxxramas next week! We look forward to this monumentous event as it will be the first time attempting an at-level 10M raid with ALL guild members in the party! Let's prepare to kick some ass and take some Scourge names! Lich King's lackies ain't got nuttin' on us!

3.1 is now released! that means dual spec and the argent tourney grounds and a bunch of other new fun stuff not the least of which is the start of Ulduar being opened.  Now if anyone is looking to dual spec and are in need of new equipment talk to me in game, i have a high lvl Tailor Leatherworker and Blacksmith and i should be able to help you out with some new gear.  We've also got our First Naxx raid coming up so everybody get your stuff together and contact Arjeko with schedule information so he can set up raid times for us.  If you need gear form dungeons or any crafted upgrades once again tell someone we'll try to get stuff going for everybody.

The Risen will be redesigning their tabard in celebration of a successful revival! All guild members are encouraged to go to the forums and VOTE for their preferences. I hope you are as excited about joining as we are to have had you join.  If you need help with anything on the site ask Elvy she knows the site better then me if you are having issues withe the registering process its all explained pretty well a few posts down so check there first. After you register hop over to teh forums and post one of the intro things just kinda keeps up updated as to who all has signed up. m otehr then that if you have any questions in game lemme know, i know more about this game then i really should, you can make fun of me for that i won't mind (doesnt mean i won't pick on you back though).  As far as vent access goes talk to me in game i'll get you set up.

IMPORTANT:  our vent is gracously allowed us access by Chillen who owns it and has it expanded to accomidate a large guild, as we hope to one day be, he also has it set up into channels for a few other guilds. the channel you want to access is Risen other channels are off limits any problems caused by guild members that are brought to our attention will be handled strictly.  I dont wanna be a jerk but if i have to be i will be. Other then that use vent for chat or instances or what-have-you just try to keep conversations clean enough that people dont get TOO ticked off.

Well just reiterating that its good to have you all, if you wanna run something, toss out events on the calander, or send an ingame message or mail to an officer to set it up for ya.
